In order to ensure Chepstow Plant International’s equipment, both within its Hire Fleet and the Used Equipment stock, are of the highest standard, the organisation has a highly trained set of engineers both operating within the head offices and at the company’s other national regional offices.

At the head offices, Chepstow Plant International has an impressive six bays for work to be carried out in. This includes a separate fabrication and welding bay and a high specification spray and paint shop. These facilities ensure each machine that arrives on site can go through the rigorous checking in and checking out procedure and consequently enables the company to assure clients and customers that equipment supplied by Chepstow Plant International is of the highest quality.

Chepstow Plant International’s workshops have the facilities to undertake a variety of jobs, including extensive rebuilding processes, such as engine refurbishments and transmission overhauls. In addition to this, the workshop are accustomed to fitting various extras to machines, such as tailgates, side-extensions and various radar systems. These additional components bring the company’s machines up to the industry contracting standards, as requested by all customers. This allows Chepstow Plant International to operate at the highest level across all sites nationwide. At head offices, the company employs highly trained engineers, welders and paint specialists to maintain and progress the benchmarked standards, the business strives for.

The company’s head office workshops also push asset innovation and development for its contracting fleet, to help deliver optimum performance to customers. This is mostly seen in the company’s commitment in converting a dozen Volvo articulated dumptrucks into self-propelled fuel and water bowsers, to minimise the operational and training risks, sometimes associated with the traditional tractor and bowser methods on site. These self-propelled bowsers can range from 5,000 litres to 12,000 litres and help underpin our ancillary contracting fleet.

Due to the vast number of operational contracts nationally, Chepstow Plant International also employs a significant team of mobile fitters, operating across the country. These mechanics travel between sites, ensuring the hire fleet is up to the company’s rigorous standards and is therefore consistently inspected and tested. This preventative maintenance ensures the customer receives maximum uptime.
